The Aid for Trade initiative, launched by WTO members in 2005, aims to help developing countries build their trade capacity, improve their infrastructure and improve their ability to take advantage of trade opening opportunities. To date, more than $340 billion has been disbursed to support Aid for Trade projects. A comprehensive review of the initiative takes place every two years at WTOs headquarters. The overall objective of THE OCTs is to ensure a smooth, free and predictable flow of trade. To this end, GATT has introduced the most-favoured-nation principle into customs agreements between Members. This series of meetings and tariff reductions would continue and new GATT provisions would be incorporated into the process. . . .
