Some updates
- Elsewhere posts now get their own permalink pages, including comments. This is joined by new fancy little icons for comments, permalinks, and the “via” link.
- Following that trend, I made some slight updates to the archive page for the Elsewhere posts.
- There was also the issue of the too-small comment box. If you haven’t already noticed, clicking the + next to “Speak” will enlarge it so there’s more space (for bitching).
- And of course, what series of updates would be complete without design changes made when I should be in bed already?

Wicked. And here I just made a slightly snarky comment regarding the lack of an actual permalink in the archive.
I dig icons, but a provision for showing the number of comments a post has would be nice. And the permalink doesn’t feel like a permalink to me. More like speech bubbles. Maybe it’s the slight anti-aliasing making it feel all soft and cuddly.
The option for a bigger comment box is long over due – I’m pretty sure I complained about that little thing when if first debuted how many versions ago. However, making it both wider and taller makes my page jump around – just expanding it left might be slightly smoother.
Refreshed header is rather rad.
Also keep forgetting to ask: What’s the 100kb worth of JS libraries that you push for?
I never would have made this long a comment in that 142px wide box.

I saw your comment “hiding” in the title attribute… nice. That was part of the reason for the decision.
I already thought about the comments number thing, but I haven’t done anything about it yet. I think I’m still thinking about it.
The JavaScript is a bunch of junk for the archive / photo pages (Lightbox). But I suppose I could just set it to load on those pages.

Oh yeah. And here I kept clicking the flickr’s wondering why they didn’t Lightbox. That’s dope being able to cycle through the photos and skip the words if desired.
